Kors Teeth Whitening

Why does Kors Whitening work so well?

The Kor Whitening Deep Bleaching™ System cleans stains and discoloration from teeth without damaging the structure of your teeth. A peroxide gel penetrates deep into the tooth, breaking down imbedded molecules that create stains. Unlike many other in-office treatment, Kor Whitening does not use and special lights or lasers during the process.

How long does Kor Whitening last?

The results of a whitening session are permanent. Over time, stains can build up again because of factors such as aging, tobacco use, and what you eat and drink. This can be kept under control with at-home treatments to touch up your results.

Is it Safe?

Teeth whitening products do not damage the teeth in any way, relying on natural chemical processes that result in the release of oxygen and water molecules. There is no danger associated with teeth whitening procedures.

Is there pain or discomfort with the Kor whitening deep bleach system?

Much of the sensitivity felt during teeth whitening is caused by the use of special lights or lasers designed to speed up the chemical process of the gel. Studies have shown that adding energy into what is already an exothermic (or energy-releasing) reaction may not only be ineffective, but could make the reaction even less effective. The Kors whitening gel is more gentle than other formulations, causing patients little or no discomfort throughout the process. For the rare patient who does feel some sensitivity during this procedure, it is significantly less than with any other system.

Does it matter how old I am?

No. While it is true that the younger teeth are, the more brilliantly they will whiten, this does not mean that there is an age limit to the benefits. An in-office whitening treatment can benefit patients of any age. Kor restores your teeth’s ability to absorb oxygen, returning them to a more youthful state.

How white will my teeth get?

You will experience a dramatic change in the color, sometimes showing up to 16 shades of difference. No matter what condition your teeth are in, you will see results. Even tetracycline-stained teeth can be brought back to a lighter color with this method, a feat no other procedure can match.

Will my teeth look too white or unnatural?

These are your natural teeth, returning to their natural color. Rather than looking unnatural, they will appear more healthy and vibrant than before.

Will my crowns, veneers or fillings whiten too?

Prosthodontics are not affected in the same way as natural teeth, and will remain the same color as before. If you have veneers, crowns, or fillings in the front of your teeth, you may need to replace them to ensure they still match the rest of your teeth.

How will coffee, tea, smoking and red wine affect my teeth after Kor Whitening?

Following simple home maintenance will keep even these factors from dulling the new brilliance of your teeth.

ill the whitening trays be uncomfortable, difficult to sleep with or will the bleach leak out of the trays?

No. The at-home whitening trays from Kor are different, sealing the gel inside the trays to minimize contact with saliva and lowering its efficacy. Being form-fitting and thin, they are comfortable to wear. Most patients will do their treatment while they sleep, making it more convenient for them.

How does the Kor Whitening Bleaching System Work?

We will take impressions of your teeth to create customized whitening trays that fit well over your own teeth. You will wear the trays at night while you sleep for two weeks. At the end of this time, you’ll meet with your dentist to evaluate your results.
